Door 24- Ho, Ho, Ho!

Ho, ho, ho brush people!

It's here the final day of our calendar. First at all we want to thank you for reading through all of our articles during the month and the patience with us as we were sometimes a bit late. But I think we can be proud of ourselves -and especially Martin who wrote most of the articles and did night shifts to please you people out there- that we managed 22 (two of the articles count each as two articles) articles with content and this special article.

Door 21/22...-Tasty Ultra Marinara Step by Step

Hello again,

for today and yesterday I'm a bit late again, but I hope that the content of this post was worth the waiting. It's a painting step by step of an Ultramarine in I would call it higher tabletop standard.
I planned to paint an Ultramarine with my airbrush for  a while now, after I saw the step by step by Arsies on how he paints an Ultramarine .

Door 20 - What I like about the following paintjob

Jubilae friends of paint!

As I didn't want this day to go into history without a door in our calendar, I'll try to manage something...

I had this idea a while ago and now is my chance to write it down. It's kind of like giving critique in a forum, but I just want to talk about the things I like about the following paintjob and what I see in the miniature.

Calendar Info

As more and more of our guest writers won't make it till christmas my time schedule is pretty fucked up.
I am sorry for not reaching the 24 articles but reality and plans sometimes diverge...
We will definitely have door 24, with a big surprise for our fellow readers, 20 to 23...well I can't promise to be honest.
Have a nice weekend anyways!

Door 15 - Setting up a "theater of war"

So, a few days ago, I reviewed a roman centurion. Now that he is cleaned and assembled as far as necessary for painting - I spare you the boring process - it is time for the first works on the base. The basis for this will be a 4*4 cm plinth by Sockelmacher.

Before the actual building will begin, I have to decide the place were the brave centurion will defend the Roman Empire against its manifold enemies. In the first article I already determined, that the little fellow could be dated into the first century AD, probably the first half.

Charity Auction Ebay Reminder

Just a short reminder that Serafins auction of her "Imperial Palace Guard Bust" part of our Charity event "Painting against Cancer" ends today.

Here's the link, it's still at 1 Euro...

So bid, bid, bid!

Door 15 - is delayed a little while

Seems our door thinks it's an easter egg and hides. Sry, had some massive problems with the web connection, it comes and goes, no chance to upload the videos.

Right now family is calling, so I am back around 7 and hope the problem will be fixed then.

Sorry for the waiting time!

Door 14 - Finishing the cliff

Ahhh twenty hours of sleep are a good fill for a day. Damn I was so burnt out after the last weeks.
The three day gaming table madness was the final nail in the coffin and my body took what it needed.
But, the day has 24 hours I hear you say....and those 4 were dedicated to you, our beloved readers!

The next three days and doors are ready to upload!

Today I also would like to talk about some things I learned during the last weeks, the gaming table and such stuff, so if you like,

Door 12 - A Review - S.P.Q.R.

Salve.
It's an Miniature Unboxing - again. After Klaus' nice one, I'll do mine - but different, actually it's more the beginning of a series, where I will paint the miniature step by step an walk you through the painting itself and the.... one could call it "fluff".

The Miniature itself is the "Roman Officer" by Nocturna Models. It is a 70 mm resin cast - at least concerning the scale. With the crista the officer easily stands somewhere between 85-90 mm tall.

The mini comes in a nice steal box, looking exactly like the one's Knight Models is using -good choice Nocturna, i really love those.

First I have to excuse myself, I already assembled parts of the miniature, a the impatiently I started without remembering to take pictures of the first unboxing.

Door 11 - Why did I buy? Kind of Miniature unpacked - Alexandros Models "Freebooter 1697"

This is my first miniature unpacked article ever, and I don't really know if it's one. So first the stuff I'm used to read on miniature unpacked articles.

The usual blablabla...

This Article is about the 75 mm scale "Freebooter 1697" from Alexandros Models, sculpted by one of my favourite sculpters, Allan Carrasco.

The miniature comes in a nice cardboard box with a cover wrapped around it. On the cover you can see the paintjob.

This is the first part in our all new tutorial video series, dedicated to the creation of a swamp land gaming table. We learn how to create cliffs from styrofoam, islands from garden earth and big water areas that have a realistic feeling of depth.
Today we will have a look on the cliffs.

Door 7 - I'm a rich man,not your b*tch man! - Base Step by Step

Walk up the stairs till there are no more!

This time it's a kind of step by step, because the steps are big paces...didn't take enough pictures...sorry...but I think this article will give you an idea how I build the base.

It's getting started in here, so take out all your tools....the miniature this base is build for is a kind of spanish noble man sculpted by Degra and distributed bei Figone ( http://www.figone.fr/ ). So I planned him standing in his mansion on black marble stairs, behind him a huuuuuge portrait of who? himself of cause!

Door 4 - Itsy bitsy cyber spiders - Base Step by Step

01001000011000010110110001101100011011110000110100001010 my dear cyber friends!

A while ago I painted my first Infinity miniature, a very dynamic kind of cyber ninja lady. When I thought about the base the idea came up that she would be invading an enemy base with the help of an army of cyber spiders. The spiders are helping her to make it hard for the enemys to spot her.
How would the spiders invade the building and how can I show that they help her?

Door 3 - Only in death service ends - Step by Step painting the White Scar Vindicator Part 1

Today brings you another video! I think you start to understand why the last weeks and our youtube channel were rather quite.

And to make it even better, its another complete step by step tutorial showing you the making of my latest commission piece, a heavy weathered White Scar Vindicator. I promised this to many of our readers, who asked how the Bike Captain was done. This is my new approach to the armies tanks but don't worry, it can also be used on infantry. Also those will have their own tutorial in the future.

Day two - Jolly Sculpting in Father Nurgles Name

First I want to say thanks to you, our readers!

It makes us happy little Christmas Gobbos to see you like this.

So lets open the second door, shall we?

Door One - I can walk on water, which is frozen -Base Step by Step

It's "this time of the year" again, crowded malls, "Last Christmas" played at least a thousand times per hour (Challenge your friends, who will be the last one to hear it this year? Two years ago I had the golden run, not hearing this damn song once) and tons of cookies, hot wine and candles.
But also the time of sitting with your dear ones, using the Saturdays to relax and celebrate.
For me, it means working much more at the store to deal with more customers and so painting something and having nice hobby chats every day. It means having Advent Calenders for my cats, my old bear calendar that went along with me through 3 flats and 18 years of life for my self and another that my girl sent me from Japan. Baking cookies with my friends, all to prepare for the big evening when goose and presents will mark our Christmas under an oldschool tree. I love it.
As a fanatic Christmas addict it is my pleasure to share some of my love for this time with you. We will accompany you through the next 24 days of Christmas preparation, cozy grog evenings and shopping madness.

The first door of our calender is a gift from Klaus to you, as he explains how he made a very nice and frosty base for his ice demon.

Thanks Bro for this tutorial, and to all our readers, have fun reading and trying!
-Martin
